Actor Belzer of `Law & Order' to discuss book on JFK assassination witness deaths

Actor Richard Belzer, also known as Detective John Munch on Law & Order: Special Victims Unit, will discuss and sign copies of his new co-authored book “Hit List: An In-Depth Investigation into the Mysterious Deaths of Witnesses to the JFK Assassination.”

The event is on May 6, 6:30 p.m., at the National Press Club's Ballroom. It is a fundraiser for the NPC Journalism Institute.

Registration is required, please click here (http://www.press.org/events/belzer). Tickets are free for NPC members and $5.00 for non-members. The author will only sign copies purchased through the Club so no outside books are allowed.

Richard Belzer and David Wayne are back to set the record straight. This time they’re going to uncover the truth about the many witness deaths tied to the assassination of President John F. Kennedy. Some of the deaths seemed purely coincidental: heart attacks or hunting accidents. Others clearly seemed noteworthy: witnesses who did seem to know something and did seem to die mysteriously. “Hit List” is an examination of the evidence of each case, leading to (necessarily) different conclusions.

Belzer, a stand-up comedian, actor and author, is currently cast and best known for his role as John Munch on the hit NBC show, Law & Order. He wrote UFOs, JFK, and Elvis in 2000; I Am Not a Cop! in 2009; and I Am Not a Psychic! in 2010.
