Bill Jenkins and the Virginia Mountain Boys, who have been wowing audiences for more than 40 years with bluegrass, old-time mountain music, will return to the National Press Club for a 50th anniversary show on Friday, March 28.

Doors will open at 6:30 p.m., with show time at 7:30 p.m. To order tickets, click here.

Truly unique harmonies, captivating arrangements and a rollicking good time are the hallmarks of Jenkins and his band, which has some of the finest string musicians and vocalists in the United States. In its long history, the group has performed at such prime venues as the White House, the National Press Club and many others.

The group's sounds are different from typical bluegrass bands, featuring an older, more stark, and more natural sound. No electrical cords attach to their instruments and no electronic devices alter their voices. Voices are used as much or more than their guitars. The ancient ability to harmonize by swapping back and forth from lead to harmony several times during the same song is part of the genius of this group.
