Pulitzer Prize Photos to be Presented at Noon, Oct. 28

A trilogy of Pulitzer Prize-winning photos taken by Ron Edmonds, recently retired AP senior White House photographer, will be presented to the NPC on Wednesday, Oct. 28, at noon. Edmonds will add his Pulitzer photos to the Club's growing collection when he speaks to the NPC Photography Committee in the Zenger Room. Edmonds' photos of the Reagan assassination attempt in 1981 won the 1982 Pulitzer Prize for spot news photography.
Edmonds' photos will be hung in the Club along with other Pulitzer photos taken by Max Desfor, Steve Crowley, Joe Marquette and Scott Applewhite. The Pulitzers are displayed on the 13th floor of the NPC in the hallway leading to the Fourth Estate Restaurant.

Edmonds will also talk about his career, including his 28-year tenure with the Associated Press. For the AP, Edmonds covered the White House, summits, inaugurations, shuttle launches, summer and winter Olympics, and international stories around the world. Edmonds also photographed every U.S. president from Nixon through Obama.

After Edmonds' presentation, the Photography Committee members will have lunch in the McClendon Room at 1 p.m.

All NPC Photography Committee meetings and events are open to all NPC members. All are welcome, and no reservations are required for this free event.
