Professionalize your freelance business, 6:30 pm April 3

Are you using all the tax breaks available for your business? Do you know how the DC government can help you with business planning? How can your style reflect your brand as a freelancer?

You can find answers to these questions at a panel sponsored by the Freelance Committee, "How To Professionalize Your Freelance Business," from 6:30 to 8 p.m. on Thursday, April 3, in the First Amendment Lounge.

Meisa Bonelli, a Wall Street finance and tax professional, business match-maker and mentor is the president of Millennial Ventures, Inc. and managing partner of Millennial Tax, the leading provider of strategic business planning and tax preparation to home-based businesses, start-ups and solopreneurs, exclusively.

Shara Gibson is a business development specialist with the D.C. Department of Small and Local Business Development. She will elaborate on the resources available for small businesses and how the D.C. government can help with information on starting, operating and growing a business in the District of Columbia.

Emily Diaz is a fashion editor, the founder of Cosita Boutique and a professional fashion expert. She helps entrepreneurs develop a style that reflects their brand and has guided people from all walks of life to look their best in any circumstances - from promotions to career changes.
