Panel on TV Advertising's Future Scheduled for Oct. 7

The future of TV advertising will be the subject of a ``Get It Online'' program from 8:30-10:30 on Monday, Oct. 7, in the Conference Rooms.

TV commercials, from Johnson's ``Daisy'' to Reagan’s “Morning in America,” have been defining elements in campaigns for decades. But do they have a future when more Americans use smartphones and the Internet rather than watch television?

National Press Club member Eleanor Clift, a veteran Newsweek writer, will moderate a panel that consists of Matthew Gagnon, director of digital strategy for the Republican Governors Association; Jenna Golden, Political and Advocacy Team; Taryn Rosenkranz, senior adviser to the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee; Rena Shapiro, political director of Pandora; and Erin Vieira, Mid-Atlantic regional sales manager for Undertone.

Doors will open at 8:30 a.m. for breakfast, and the program begins at 8:45. The cost is free for members and $25 for non-members. Please reserve at http://www.press.org/events/will-digital-ads-kill-30-second-tv-campaign-ad.
