Okla. Gov. Mary Fallin to discuss National Governors Association initiative on education and training at Sept. 17 luncheon

Oklahoma Governor Mary Fallin, newly-appointed chairwoman of the National Governors Association, will lay out her 2013-14 Chair’s Initiative, “America Works: Education and Training for Tomorrow’s Jobs,” at a National Press Club Luncheon on Tuesday, Sept. 17.

The initiative focuses on improving education and workforce training programs in every state so they are aligned with the employment needs of the state economies. The luncheon begins at 12:30 p.m. Remarks begin at 1 p.m., followed by a question-and-answer session ending at 2 p.m. Luncheon tickets cost $21 for Club members and one guest, $35 for all others.
