National Press Club’s 40th Annual Book Fair & Authors’ Night to showcase scores of best-selling writers, Nov. 10

The capital region’s premier holiday book event is back for the 40th year and once again, the National Press Club and its Journalism Institute are partnering with landmark local book seller Politics & Prose for a night of politicians, pundits and prose.

More than 90 authors will attend the National Press Club’s Book Fair & Authors’ Night on Friday, Nov. 10. They’ll be here to talk to their fans and sign books at this most exciting literary event of the holiday season. Patrons can browse for books in the Club’s historic ballroom from 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.

From former CBS News anchor Bob Schieffer’s inside look at the changing role of media and Sally Quinn’s spiritual memoir, to Alice McDermott’s critically acclaimed new novel about an Irish-American family in Brooklyn and Joshua Green’s revealing story of the partnership between Steve Bannon and Donald Trump, volumes on history and politics, mysteries, cookbooks, children’s books and memoirs will fill the tables.

A complete list of authors can be found here.

The book fair is a fundraiser for the National Press Club Journalism Institute, a 501 (c) (3) charitable organization. The event helps the institute’s programming and mission, which includes a competitive scholarship program with a focus on promoting diversity among the next generation of journalists, and training programs focusing on high standards, ethical conduct and best practices in a rapidly changing media environment.

For a tax deductible contribution of $25, you can become a “Friend of the Book Fair.” You will be recognized in the program and receive a free ticket to the event. See details here.
