Meet Bender from 'Futurama' at 'I Know That Voice' screening Nov. 8

The National Press Club will host the East Coast premiere of the voice acting documentary, "I Know That Voice" on Friday, Nov. 8, at 6 p.m. in the National Press Club's conference rooms.

The film’s executive producer, Annie award-winning and Emmy-nominated voice actor John DiMaggio, will introduce the film and answer questions after the screening, followed by a meet-and-greet and signing.

The screening is sponsored by The National Press Club’s Young Members Committee, and is free for Club members and $10 for non-members. The signing session is limited to one item per person. Please register here.

"I Know That Voice" explores every aspect of the voice acting profession, and features more than 150 voice actors and other animation industry luminaries.

Those featured included voices from "The Simpsons," "Futurama," "Family Guy," "American Dad," "Adventure Time," "Star Wars: The Clone Wars," "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles," "Phineas and Ferb," "The Cleveland Show," "My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic," "The Fairly Odd Parents," "The Boondocks," "Robot Chicken," "Spongebob Squarepants," "Avatar: the Last Airbender," "Jimmy Neutron: Boy Genius," "Batman: The Animated Series," "Tiny Toon Adventures," "Animaniacs," "Rocko's Modern Life," "The Ren and Stimpy Show," "Rugrats," "Darkwing Duck," "DuckTales," "Looney Tunes," "The Jetsons," "Scooby Doo," and "The Rocky and Bullwinkle Show."

Executive producer John DiMaggio is known as the voice of Bender in "Futurama", Jake the Dog in "Adventure Time", Marcus Fenix in "Gears of War", Rico in "The Penguins of Madagascar" and many others. DiMaggio has also appeared on-screen in television shows including "The Newsroom", "Modern Family", "Bones", "Little Fockers", and others. He had a recurring role on "Chicago Hope."
