Massey Energy CEO at July 22 Luncheon

Don L. Blankenship, the chairman and chief executive officer of Massey Energy Co., will speak at a Luncheon on Thursday, July 22, on the need to increase surface mining of coal to meet the nation’s energy requirements.

Massey Energy is the fourth-largest coal company in the United States. An explosion at the company’s Upper Big Branch Mine in Montcoal, W.Va., on April 5 killed 29 miners, making it the deadliest coal mine explosion in the United States in 40 years.
