Make Fourth Estate your first stop on New Year’s Eve

Before you head to your friend’s soiree to watch the ball drop, have a sumptuous early dinner on New Year's Eve at the National Press Club.

The Fourth Estate Restaurant, on the 13th floor of the National Press Building, will open (and close) early, 5-8:30 p.m., on Tuesday, Dec. 31.

Start your dinner with a glass of bubbly on us and then enjoy six entrée choices on the modified Prix Fixe menu, which is usually offered only on Thursday, Friday and Saturday evenings.

On New Year's Eve only, the menu will include a whole Maine lobster or certified angus beef steak as entrée choices. The three courses feature choices of salad or soup, entrées and desserts, including the ever popular Overdose Chocolate Brownie Sundae.

Entrees include beef short ribs, vegetarian butternut squash pasta and Mahi Mahi. The price is $40. The Fourth Estate will also offer $20 bottles of Italian Prosecco and Spanish Cava.

Reservations are recommended. Contact Brent Gwathney (202-662-7638) or book at www.opentable.com.
