Lawyers for German human rights group to release report on Camp Ashraf massacre, Oct. 30

A report alleging Iraqi government complicity in the September massacre at Camp Ashraf of 52 Iranian dissidents will be released at a Newsmaker news conference 10 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 30 in the National Press Club's Zenger Room.

The release by lawyers will representing the German human rights group Menschenrechtsverein Für Migranten (Rights for Migrants)comes on the eve of Iraqi Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki's state visit to meet with President Obama.

Jared Genser, managing director of Perseus Strategies, will present the report. Genser has authored several books on the United Nations and international human rights abuses and is founder of Freedom Now, an independent non-profit organization that works to free political prisoners.
