Latest NPC podcast features Pete Seeger’s 1998 Luncheon appearance

In the latest edition of “Update-1,” the National Press Club podcast, former Club President Doug Harbrecht remembers the NPC Luncheon he hosted Feb. 10, 1998, featuring music legend Pete Seeger.

Harbrecht, who was president at the time, introduced Seeger. During the Luncheon, the folk music/activist icon, who died at age 94 on Jan. 17, spoke about why he felt America needed small organizations of committed citizens to meet the challenges of the 21st Century. He also performed several songs.
