Introduction to bill-tracking website postponed to April 19

An introduction to the Library of Congress' bill-tracking site has been moved to April 19.

The site, www.congress.gov, also provides access to the Congressional Record, committee reports, nominations, treaties, and executive communications.

The National Press Club Journalism Institute and the Club's Professional Development Committee are offering a workshop on using the website at 9.30 a.m. April 19, in the Bloomberg Room. Tickets for $5 for Club members and $10 for the general public.

RSVP required; tickets can be purchased online.

The congress.gov site offers a full spectrum of search tools and other research resources. Library of Congress experts will discuss the history of the legislative information site and provide a demonstration. Bring your specific research questions and put them on the spot during questions and answers after the demonstration.
