Gen. Martin Dempsey, Joint Chiefs of Staff Chairman, to speak at luncheon Oct. 10

Army Gen. Martin Dempsey, chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, will speak at a National Press Club luncheon on Wednesday, Oct. 10.

Sworn in one year ago as the nation’s highest-ranking military officer, Dempsey is a former Army Chief of Staff who served two tours as a wartime commander in Iraq.

Lunch will be served at noon, with remarks beginning at 12:30 p.m., followed by a question-and-answer session ending at 1:30 p.m. Tickets cost $19 for Press Club members, $30 for guests of members, and $37 for general admission.
