Frank Sesno, Emmy Award winner, to explain the art of the interview, Jan. 24

Frank Sesno, an Emmy Award-winning journalist and director of George Washington University’s School of Media and Public Affairs, will discuss the value of asking the right kind of questions and what to expect as an outcome, on Tuesday, Jan. 24, at the National Press Club.

The event will begin at 6:30 p.m. in the NPC's Holeman Lounge. Admission is free for Club members but registration is required.. Guest tickets are $10.

Sesno will share insights from his new book, "Ask More: The Power of Questions to Open Doors, Uncover Solutions and Spark Change" at the event, which is sponsored by the Club’s Broadcast/Podcast Committee. Committee chair and former Club President Mark Hamrick, a colleague of Sesno's when they were at the Associated Press, will moderate.

Copies of the book will also be available for purchase online and at the door. There will be a book signing following the discussion. No outside books will be permitted.

Not all reporters know how to question in a methodical way. Sesno, a former anchor, White House correspondent and CNN talk show host, will explain how questions help journalists break down barriers, report the news and communicate effectively.

Sesno continues to engage with some of the world’s leading personalities as a nationally renowned moderator and through the Conversation Series at The George Washington University.
