Former AIG CEO Greenberg plans Newsmaker discussion on corporate challenges, Feb. 21

Former AIG CEO Maurice R. “Hank” Greenberg plans to discuss current financial, legal, and regulatory challenges during a National Press Club Newsmaker press conference on Thursday, Feb. 21 at 2 p.m.

NPC Newsmaker events are open to Club members and the working press.

Greenberg plans to discuss his experiences as a long-time chief executive officer of two of the world's top insurance companies and will offer perspectives regarding what the modern investor and shareholder can expect in the current financial, legal and regulatory climates.

As chairman and CEO of C.V. Starr & Co., Greenberg has grown the insurance giant into a multi-billion dollar company. A long-time political and Wall Street force, Greenberg retired as chairman and CEO of American International Group, Inc. (AIG) in March 2005, after serving as CEO since 1967. Under his leadership, AIG became the largest insurance company in the world, growing to more than $l80 billion.
