The new year and a new Congress have ushered in new policies for perennial challenges, continued polarization. Fifty years after Sen. Robert Kennedy was assassinated during his presidential campaign, he continues to inspire with messages that reached across similar gulfs during his life -– and help us make sense of America’s present challenges and future prospects. Today there is renewed interest in Kennedy’s vision for America, and the words that have proven so prescient and timeless. The authors share the senator’s ideas and words, and apply them to today’s economic conditions, budget battles, political strategies and policy questions at home and abroad.

Twenty-five years after Bobby Kennedy was assassinated, "RFK: His Words for Our Times," a celebration of Kennedy’s life and legacy, was published to enormous acclaim. Now, a quarter century later, this classic volume has been thoroughly edited and updated. Through his own words we get a direct and intimate perspective on Kennedy’s views on civil rights, social justice, the war in Vietnam, foreign policy, the desirability of peace, the need to eliminate poverty, and the role of hope in American politics.
