Documentary filmmaker Ken Burns plans National Press Club Luncheon Speech April 12

Award-winning documentary filmmaker Ken Burns, whose films include "The Civil War" and "Jazz," plans to discuss his latest film, "The Central Park Five," at a National Press Club luncheon on April 12. The movie, which premieres April 16 on PBS, tells the story of five Harlem teenagers wrongly convicted of raping a white woman in New York City’s Central Park in 1989.

Lunch will be served at 12:30 p.m., with remarks beginning at 1 p.m., followed by a question-and-answer session ending at 2 p.m. Tickets cost $21 for Press Club members (NPC Members may purchase 2 tickets at this rate) and $35 for all other non-member tickets. NPC Members who wish to attend the pre-luncheon reception must RSVP separately to [email protected] 48 hours before the event. Space may be limited. You must have a paid reservation to the Luncheon to attend the VIP reception.
