Democratic presidential primary candidate and former Colorado Gov. John Hickenlooper to outline plan to expand access to birth control

As state-led efforts to restrict abortion draw controversy, Democratic presidential candidate and former Colorado Gov. John Hickenlooper will explain his state's approach to curbing both abortion and teen pregnancies at a National Press Club Headliners Newsmaker event on Thursday, June 13, at 10:45 a.m. in the First Amendment Lounge.
The Colorado Family Planning Initiative helped reduce the both the rate of teen pregnancies and abortion by nearly 50%. The state-administered program was funded by private donations.
The news conference is open to credentialed media and Club members, however Registration is required.
