CNN's Piers Morgan to Discuss and Sign Copies of New Book

Piers Morgan, host of CNN’s Piers Morgan Live, will discuss and sign copies of his new book "Shooting Straight: Guns, Gays, God, and George Clooney" on Friday, Oct. 18, at 2 p.m. in the Ballroom.

This is a ticketed event and registration is required at http://www.press.org/events/piers-morgan. Tickets are $5 for Club members and $10 for the public. The member admission fee is waived if a book is ordered in advance, an option that appears on the ticket form. Each Club member can buy only one ticket at the member price.

This event is a fundraiser for the NPC Journalism Institute. No outside books or memorabilia permitted.

"Shooting Straight" is Morgan's account of his life at CNN, with stories about his encounters with celebrities, politicians and heads of state; and details about his high-profile participation in the gun debate and other hot-button issues.

Morgan is also known for hosting NBC’s hit show, America’s Got Talent. He started his career as a reporter for The Wimbledon News, and went on to work for The Sun and to become the youngest-ever editor of News of the World in 1994. He then became the editor-in-chief of the Daily Mirror and then a columnist for GQ, as well as a host on the BBC before joining CNN in 2010.
