Club, Newsy to host premiere of 'A Woman's Job' series, plus discussion, March 8, 6 p.m.

The National Press Club and the video news network Newsy will host a premiere event and panel discussion of “A Woman's Job” in celebration of International Women’s Day on Wednesday, March 8, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. in the Holeman Lounge.

“A Woman's Job” is a six-episode Newsy Original video series that profiles women who are redefining what it means to build a career in jobs that are traditionally male-dominated.

A showing of the first two episodes of the series will be followed by a panel discussion with two women featured in the series: Jen Welter, a football player and coach who, in 2015, became the first woman to coach in the NFL' and Patrice Banks, a speaker and the founder of Girls Auto Clinic, an automotive repair shop by and for women.

Former National Press Club President Angela Greiling Keane, a deputy technology editor at Politico Pro, also will join the panel discussing women in journalism and the tech industry.
