Celebrate 112th NPC President Alison Fitzgerald Kodjak at inaugural fete, Jan. 12

Enjoy a night of roasts and toasts as the National Press Club inaugurates Alison Fitzgerald Kodjak as the 112th president at a gala on Saturday, Jan. 12.

Purchase tickets here for a night that will include a swearing in with Supreme Court Justice Stephen Breyer.

The inaugural gala begins with a reception at 6:30 p.m., followed by dinner at 7:30 p.m. Tickets cost $110 for Club members and one guest, and $140 for non-members.

Kodjak, the health-policy correspondent on National Public Radio's Science Desk, serves currently as the Club's vice president. Her work at NPR focuses on the business and politics of health care and how those forces flow through to the general public. Her stories about the Affordable Care Act, drug prices, limits on insurance and changes in Medicare and Medicaid appear on all of NPR's shows and in the Shots blog.

Breyer has served on the court since 1994. He was appointed by former President Bill Clinton. Before ascending to the Supreme Court, Breyer spent 14 years as a judge on the 1st Circuit Court of Appeals.
