Book early for Club presidential International Inaugural Gala, Jan. 25

To mark the inauguration of Myron Belkind as the 107th National Press Club president, the traditional inaugural gala on Saturday, Jan. 25, will have an international theme for the first time to reflect his global career assignments.

Everything at the Gala -- from the food to the entertainment to the program -- will reflect the rich diversity of international cultures. The Gala will begin with a reception at 6:30 p.m. followed by dinner at 7:30 p.m.

Tickets are $95 per person and must be purchased at time of reservation. For questions regarding reservations, please email [email protected] or call (202) 662-7501.

The cultural program will include Bhangra dancing from India and a traditional “tilak” welcome, both provided by students from The George Washington University, where Belkind is an adjunct professor. A Chinese Lion Dance will lead everyone into the Ballroom for the multi-course dinner featuring international dishes prepared by Club Executive Chef Susan Delbert.

The preferred attire for the evening will be from your country of origin or black tie. A number of ambassadors are expected to attend.
