Author Coulter chastises Republicans for taking advice from The New York Times

Ann Coulter, interviewed about her new book, "Adios, America," at a June 17 Book Rap, chastised Republicans for listening to The New York Times' opinions on their election strategy.

Republicans listen to what the Times tells them they need to do to win an election, she said. So she believes they follow the paper on issues like abortion, guns, ERA and lose elections. She said, “Unless you are being called racist by The New York Times, Republicans, you are losing.”

The stupidity is chasing the Hispanic vote, “which they can’t win”.

“American business is like sharks, they have a big appetite and no brains. They have no interest in preserving American Culture,” she said.

Coulter claims the media will not cover legal immigration and if a Hispanic gang and an African-American gang commit nearly the same crime the media will only cover the African-American crime.

Coulter charges that current immigration policy is geared to letting anyone into the country who will support left wing policy. She emphasizes that she is talking about legal immigration, not illegal immigration. She said, “Liberals don’t care about people, they just want power.”

She believes that, because of “stupidity, cowardice, and greed,” the right goes along with the current immigration policy. Business wants the cheap labor, the rich want gardeners and maids and many politicians are afraid to speak out on the topic.

She said that, without former Senator Ted Kennedy’s (D,Mass.),Immigration Act, Mitt Romney would have won the 2012 election in a landslide.

Ms. Coulter said she can’t get the time of day from the media. They just won’t talk about her immigration views even though her book is number two on The New York Times list, she said.

She cited Senator Tom Cotton, R-Ark., who won a senate seat on opposition to President Obama’s immigration amnesty program. He fought the Democrats for three weeks on defunding the program and got no coverage, then he wrote a letter to Iran about the nuclear deal and got covered everywhere, she said.

An audience question was, “What are you doing to get time on mainstream media?” Ms. Coulter replied, “What haven’t I been doing? Maybe I should go Texas in a bikini and get a cop to yell at me or go stand in the "Today Show" line or send people flowers.”

Another questioner asked “Do we need immigration because we are not having enough children?” Coulter answered, “No, we are having boatloads of children, it is liberals who are not having children so they have to import voters.”

Mark Krikorian of the Book and Author Committee interviewed Coulter.
