Art and Archives the Focus of Fall Hoot, 6:30 pm Oct. 29

The fascinating story of the National Press Club's valuable art and archival collection will be featured at the Silver Owls Fall Hoot on Thursday, Oct. 29. Tickets are $35 per person.

Legendary pianist John Eaton, inducted into the Order of the Owl three years ago, will entertain with a program of "Jazz, Blues and Broadway." The evening is dedicated to the late Golden Owl Mary Lou Forbes of the Washington Start and Washington Times, a member of the Council of Wisest Owls and also the coveted Order of the Owl.

The history of the Press Club treasures, past and present, will be documented in a screened presentation. The Owls' quartet will salute the newest members of the Order of the Owl, Frank Aukofer and Art Wiese, in song.

The evening begins at 6:30 p.m. with a cash bar reception and elegant hors d'oeuvres, followed by a roast beef dinner with wine.
