Agriculture Secretary Vilsack will Speak at a Press Club Luncheon on June 5

By U.S. Agriculture Secretary Tom Vilsack will be speaking at a National Press Club luncheon on Wednesday, June 5

Before ascending to the position of USDA chief in January 2009, Vilsack, a native of Pittsburgh, served two terms as the Governor of Iowa. He has led the Agriculture Department since the start of President Barack Obama's first term.

The luncheon begins at 12:30 with remarks beginning at 1 p.m., followed by a Q-and-A session ending at 2 p.m.

Tickets cost $21 for Press Club members (NPC Members may purchase 2 tickets at this rate) and $35 for all other non-member tickets. Tickets may be purchased online by clicking here. Members who wish to attend the pre-luncheon reception must RSVP separately to [email protected] 48 hours before the event. Space may be limited. You must have a paid reservation to the luncheon to attend the VIP reception.
