Ken Burns discusses his new PBS series “The Roosevelts: An Intimate History” at an NPC luncheon

The latest edition of Update-1 features filmmaker Ken Burns and his recent trip to the National Press Club to promote his new series, “The Roosevelts: An Intimate History.” The seven-part series looks at Theodore, Franklin and Eleanor Roosevelt and recently ran on PBS stations. Burns says no other family has "touched as many Americans as the Roosevelts.” According to Burns, there is an "avalanche" of information about the Roosevelts, and he says this series shows them to be a “complicated Russian novel.”
