Pulitzer Prize Winner David Cay Johnston: "The Making of Donald Trump"

David Cay Johnston will discuss his new book The Making of Donald Trump, at a National Press Club Book Rap on Thursday, August 4, 2016 at 6:30 p.m.
In The Making of Donald Trump, Mr. Johnston goes back in time to look at Mr. Trump’s rise to power, including his family background, his litigation history, and his ties to organized crime.
The event is sponsored by the Book & Author Committee and includes an author discussion, question-and-answer session from the audience and book signing. Tickets are $5 for Club members and $10 for non-members. The event is a fundraiser for the nonprofit National Press Club Journalism Institute.
Books can be purchased online at the same time as tickets or at the event. No outside books are permitted.
About the Author:
Johnston is an investigative journalist and the winner of a 2001 Pulitzer Prize for journalism. A long-time reporter for the New York Times and former president of Investigative Reporters & Editors (IRE), he is also the author of New York Times bestsellers Perfectly Legal and Free Lunch and wrote a casino industry expose, Temples of Chance. He has won the IRE Medal and a George Polk Award for his reporting, and is currently a columnist for The Daily Beast, Investopedia, National Memo, Tax Notes and USA Today. Johnston teaches at Syracuse University College of Law and lives in Rochester, New York.
