Ihedioha Delivers a Major Policy Speech on Imo in the Global Economy

Rt. Hon. Emeka Ihedioha, CON, KSC, former Deputy Speaker Nigeria’s House of Representatives and the 2019 People’s Democratic Party favored gubernatorial candidate in Imo State, has been invited to deliver a major policy speech on “Imo State in the Global Economy”. The International event will hold at the world acclaimed National Press Club in Washington DC, on December 6, from 8-11 am ET.

This highly anticipated event will be attended by highly respected Imo State and international policy wonks and the media and watched by millions through various television and social media platforms.

This game changing conference is co-sponsored by the Imo Global Alliance for Good Governance (IGAGG) “a non-partisan organization of citizens of Imo State of Nigeria, across the globe committed to ensuring good governance, rule of law and an economically thriving state. These are in order to uplift the standard of living and quality of life of our citizens, regardless of age, gender, religious and or socio-economic status.”

It must be recalled that IGAGG, recently and uncharacteristically endorsed their first candidate ever- Rt. Hon. Ihedioha, as their preferred candidate to govern Imo State come 2019. The decision was made known in a statement signed by the Moderator of the group, Professor Eddie Oparaoji, and published on their Telegram based forum. According to the group, the decision was reached “after a vigorous evaluation of all INEC approved gubernatorial candidates……based on publicly available human political indices such as experience, values, pedigree, probity, history, political platform and structure, consistency, transparency of selection and capacity.”

IGAGG further stated: “we are committed to harnessing all support to make him Governor of Imo State and to holding the Ihedioha Administration accountable for his stewardship as Governor of Imo State.” Its ultimate motivation is "… uplift the standard of living and quality of life of our citizens, regardless of age, gender, religious and or socio-economic status",

The prestigious National Press Club is located on the 13th Floor of the National Press Building at 529 14th St., NW, Washington, D.C..
