Announcement of New Anti-Bullying Campaign

Announcement of New Anti-Bullying Campaign

June 14, 2018 1:30 PM

Location: Zenger Room

Zachary Cruz cannot sit idly by and watch another school shooting occur without taking action. The brother of alleged Marjorie Stoneman Douglas School Shooter Nikolas Cruz witnessed firsthand the slow-moving tragedy that can develop in schools across America as troubled youth are isolated, bullied and treated inhumanely right before our eyes. To combat this scourge in our society, and with the aim of helping prevent the worst from occurring again, Zachary will announce a major national initiative this week. WIN, which stands for We Isolate No-one, will create youth led student organizational chapters in schools across the country, unveil a 24-hour anti-bullying hotline, and create much-needed awareness for an issue that is all-too-often spoken about in embarrassed and hushed tones. Nexus Services Inc. is proud to support this brave, bold and direly-needed initiative to empower youth to save their schools and lift-up their communities.
We Isolate No-one is a new initiative by Zachary Cruz to end bullying. This new organization will be detailed at the press conference, and will work to provide training, resources, and support to bullied youth and youth who wish to stop bullying in their schools.

Nexus Services, Inc. is a leading provider of immigrant bail securitization and electronic monitoring. The organization funds Nexus Derechos Humanos Attorneys, Inc. as a part of its corporate giving to increase access to justice for disadvantaged people across the United States.

Nexus Derechos Humanos Attorneys Inc. is a pro bono civil-rights law firm committed to holding public officials accountable for placing money or politics above the lives of human beings, protecting due-process rights to be free from government coercion and demanding justice and enforcement of hard-won civil rights. Nexus Derechos Humanos will support WIN in helping to ensure civil rights protections for bullied kids.
