Aneesh Chopra "Innovative State: How New Technologies Can Transform Government"
July 22, 2014 6:00 PM
Location: Holeman Lounge
Aneesh Chopra, the former and first U.S. Chief Technology Officer, will discuss how we can tap entrepreneurial problem solvers to address advancing challenges in health, energy and education through public and regulated sectors through his new book, “Innovative State: How New Technologies can Transform Government”.
Over the last twenty years, technology has revolutionized how we function in our economy and society, from how we shop and pay bills, to communication with each other. Chopra shows in “Innovative State” how much impact technology has had on shaping government, and the challenges in between. Inspired by trailblazers before him, Chopra “offers an absorbing look at how open government can establish a new paradigm for the internet era…”
Chopra is the co-founder and executive vice president of Hunch Analytics, a technology firm focused on improving productivity of public sectors of the economy through data analytics. He was listed as Modern Healthcare’s (2011) list of the 100 Most Influential People in Healthcare (#39). Chopra is a graduate of The Johns Hopkins University and has a Master’s degree in public policy from Harvard University.
