Groundbreaking Science Improving Health, Saving Lives
The Clinical Research (CR) Forum celebrates this year’s top ground-breaking clinical research studies impacting health and healthcare at the 2018 Top Ten Clinical Research Achievement Awards at a reception and gala dinner on April 18th. This annual awards ceremony recognizes the top outstanding accomplishments in clinical research and major advances resulting from the nation's investment in research that leads to better health and tackling disease.
This year’s winning studies include breakthroughs in Zika virus vaccine trials, gene therapy treatments, secondary stroke prevention, and long-term control of HIV, among others. Full descriptions of the 2018 Top Ten Clinical Researchers can be found here.
At the awards ceremony, three studies will receive additional recognition and top prizes:
• The Herbert Pardes Clinical Research Excellence Award, for the research study that best shows a high degree of innovation and creativity, advances science, and has an impact upon human disease.
• The Distinguished Clinical Research Achievement Awards, presented to the top two studies that show creativity, innovation, or a novel approach that demonstrates an immediate impact on the health and well-being of patients.
