“Want a Democracy? Let’s Start with Observable Vote Counting”

A presentation by Jonathan Simon, author of
CODE RED: Computerized Elections and the War on American Democracy

Please join us at the National Press Club, Tuesday April 16, 2019 at 6:00 p.m., for a glass of wine and a presentation on the true national emergency that is electronic voting.

While voter suppression and gerrymandering are now on the national radar, the counting process itself – and the implications for our democracy of its manifest vulnerability to manipulation – continues to be given a virtual free pass. Every election cycle of the computerized voting era has thrown up statistical and forensic red flags suggestive of mistabulation. Ignored by the media lest we “undermine voter confidence in our elections,” it is time to face the evidence and the imperative it creates to initiate the reforms upon which genuine and informed confidence in our elections could be rebuilt.

Jonathan Simon -- veteran election forensics analyst, election integrity advocate, and author of CODE RED: Computerized Elections and the War on American Democracy -- will present an in-depth and compelling examination of 18 years of computerized voting and lead the conversation on what has been happening and what needs to be done to secure our elections.

We invite you to join this frank discussion of problems and solutions.
