NPC Newsmaker with HUD Secretary Julián Castro

Secretary of Housing and Urban Development Julián Castro spoke at a National Press Club Speakers Newsmaker on January 13, 2014. He addressed the state of housing and HUD’s plans for the coming year. Secretary Castro, a former mayor of San Antonio, delivered the keynote address at the Democratic National Convention in 2012 and was the first Hispanic ever to give the keynote speech at a national political convention.
