NPC Luncheon with Christopher Hart

National Transportation Safety Board Chairman Christopher Hart addressed the role of automation in preventing transportation accidents and will apply lessons learned in aviation to the development of self-driving cars at a National Press Club luncheon June 30, 2016. Hart talked about new technology in transportation with special emphasis on self-driving cars and how lessons from past investigation experience can help to prevent accidents. Hart has served as NTSB chairman since April 2014. Before a long career at NTSB, Hart was a deputy director for air traffic safety oversight at the Federal Aviation Administration.
