Annise Parker, one of the first openly gay mayors in the U.S. and the head of the "energy capital of America" spoke at a National Press Club luncheon on Dec. 10, 2013. She talked about her political future and past, the renaissance of American oil and gas energy industry, Texas's thriving economy and the challenges of managing city finances.
