National Press Club Luncheon - T. Boone Pickens and Ted Turner

Ted Turner, chairman of Ted Turner Enterprises and CNN founder, joined T. Boone Pickens, founder of BP Capitol, to debate American energy policy during a joint luncheon, Tuesday, April 19.Pickens outlined his "Pickens Plan" to reduce America's dependence on Middle East oil through alternate energy sources, such as wind, solar power, and natural gas. Turner discussed renewable solar energy, including his recent solar projects in New Mexico and Atlanta, as well as nuclear disarmament and global politics.
