A high moment in the history of the National Press Club occurred the evening of April 17, 2014 when Justices Antonin Scalia and Ruth Bader Ginsburg joined moderator Marvin Kalb to discuss "45 Words," the First Amendment to the United States Constitution. The executive producer of the The Kalb Report series and 2020 National Press Club President Michael Freedman remembers the evening as "meaningful, memorable, elegant and eloquent." He added, "Justices Ginsburg and Scalia reminded all of us that evening that we can have our ideological differences and still be close friends and colleagues, treating each other with respect and admiration." On the passing of Justice Ginsburg, the National Press Club is proud to present this encore edition of The Kalb Report, "45 Words," with Justices Ginsburg and Scalia.
