Understanding Foreign Cultures

A panel of international journalists from various countries talked about anti-Americanism in their countries and worldwide, as well as negative perceptions of foreigners in the United States. Ellen Soeteber moderated. The panelists had completed a five-month stay in the United States working on daily newspapers in Pittsburgh, San Francisco, Kansas City and Washington, D.C., as Alfred Friendly Fellows, named after the late Washington Post Pulitzer Prize-winning journalist and managing editor.
