National Hockey League

Commissioner Bettman spoke at the National Press Club luncheon about the reinvention of the National Hockey League (NHL). He discussed the year-long lockout of players during the 2004-5 season. Commissioner Bettman also talked about rules and other changes that were made to create better entertainment for fans. Following his remarks, he responded to questions and comments submitted by members of the audience. Mr. Dunham moderated the event. The Stanley Cup, awarded to the championship team of the NHL, was on display next to the Commissioner during the luncheon.
