Show your NPC pride: Member-only pins available

In a survey some years ago, a good number of National Press Club members supported the idea of a way to differentiate themselves as members of the Club from guests who might be stopping by for a drink, a conference or lunch. And now we have it.

The NPC is offering members the chance to purchase a member-only pin – featuring the Club's seal and the word “member” – for $10 at the front desk.

The survey, conducted through focus groups and online input from members, suggested that some type of identification, other than your member card, might be a good way to foster camaraderie and networking among our ranks. I agree.

I am proudly wearing my member pin not only while I'm at the Club but also when I venture out to Capitol Hill, the White House or other off-site events. It's a great way to show who our members are amongst our-yet-to-join journalists and communicators colleagues in Washington and beyond.

I invite you to join me.
