Tickets still available for Friday Speakers Luncheon with WTO Director-General Azevêdo

World Trade Organization Director-General Roberto Azevêdo plans to speak at a National Press Club Speakers Luncheon on Friday, Oct. 7.

Azevêdo became the sixth Director-General of the WTO in September 2013. In a recent statement, the WTO said that world trade will grow more slowly than expected in 2016. Azevêdo said the forecast is “serious and should serve as a wake-up call.” He called it “particularly concerning in the context of growing anti-globalization sentiment.”

Lunch will be served at 12:30 p.m., with remarks beginning at 1 p.m., followed by a question-and-answer session ending at 2 p.m. Tickets cost $24 for Press Club members (NPC Members may purchase 2 tickets at this rate) and $38 for all other non-member tickets. Click here for tickets.
Tickets must be paid for at the time of purchase.

NPC members who wish to attend the pre-luncheon reception must RSVP separately to [email protected] 48 hours before the event. Space may be limited. You must have a paid reservation to the Luncheon to attend the VIP reception.

To submit a question in advance, put AZEVEDO in the subject line and email to [email protected] before 10 a.m. on the day of the Luncheon.
