Workshop for experienced social media managers 6/12

The National Press Club Journalism Institute will host a Webbmedia Group workshop for experienced social media managers featuring the most important trends in networks, analytics and apps. Attendees will look at several case studies highlighting how brands are using -- and in some cases, abusing -– social media.

Amy Webb, lead trendspotter and chief executive officer of Webbmedia Group, will teach the workshop.

Webb studies disruptive technologies and advises a worldwide client base for Fortune 100 and Global 1000 companies, government agencies, media organizations, and foundations. She holds a number of professional affiliations, including as a research affiliate at the MIT Media Lab, a lecturer at the Columbia University Sulzberger Program and a delegate on the U.S.-Russia Bilateral Presidential Commission. Webb judges many of the emerging tech/accelerator awards and serves on a number of boards, including SXSW Accelerator, Online News Association, Knight Batten, International Center for Journalists and International Press Institute.
