White House correspondent plans to discuss book on President Obama, June 29, 6:30 p.m.

Peter Baker, chief White House correspondent for the New York Times, plans to appear at the National Press Club at a Headliner's Book Rap on Thursday, June 29, at 6:30 p.m. in the NPC's Conference rooms to discuss his book, Obama: The Call of History.

Tickets are $5 for Press Club members and $10 for the general public. Tickets and books are available online.

This Book Rap is a fundraiser for the NPC's Journalism Institute so no outside books are allowed.

In the book, Baker, who has written several other books about major U.S. political figures, chronicled the years of President Barack Obama's administration, which he covered for all eight years.

Baker plans talk about the book, take questions from the audience and then sign copies of the book.
