Watch Convention Boot Camp on live stream, May 31

A panel discussion on covering national political conventions will be live streamed on the web, and out of town participants will be able to submit questions via email.

The program on Tuesday, May 31, starts at 9:30 a.m. and is designed to help reporters planning to cover the Republican and Democratic conventions in July get information about logistics and story ideas. It is presented by the club's Journalism Institute and the Professional Development Committee.

Panelists will include representatives from the House Press Gallery, which last week responded to print news outlets' requests for credentials to be in the convention halls in Cleveland and Philadelphia.

The live stream will air here.

Questions, with the subject line “Covering Conventions”, can be sent to: [email protected]

The program is open to the public and those who want to attend can RSVP here.

There is a $5 fee for club members and $10 for non-members.
