Wall Street Journal reporter Jay Solomon discusses latest book, “The Iran Wars,” Nov. 29

Jay Solomon, chief foreign affairs correspondent for The Wall Street Journal, will discuss his latest book, "The Iran Wars: Spy Games, Bank Battles, and the Secret Deals That Reshaped the Middle East," at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 29, at the National Press Club.

The event will feature an author discussion, audience Q&A and book signing. Tickets are $5 for Press Club members and $10 for non-members. Tickets and books can be purchased online or at the event. No outside books or memorabilia are permitted.

Since 9/11, the United States has been engaged in a war with Iran as momentous as any other in the Middle East – a war that has largely been hidden from public view. In The Iran Wars, Solomon offers a deeply reported primer on this decades-long power struggle and a sharp critique of how the Obama administration negotiated the historic and potentially disastrous nuclear deal.

Proceeds from the event will benefit the non-profit affiliate of the Club, The National Press Club Journalism Institute, which offers innovative, practical training to journalists and communications professionals working in a rapidly changing media environment.
