Supermodel Christy Turlington Burns to launch congressional initiative at Oct. 22 Newsmaker

Supermodel Christy Turlington Burns and the Boston Women’s Health Book Collective will appear at a Newsmaker press conference 1 p.m. Monday to launch an initiative to send every member of Congress a copy of the landmark book, "Our Bodies, Our Selves."

The event will be held in the Murrow Room.

Along with Turlington Burns, founder of Every Mother Counts, other speakers will include Judy Norsigian, executive director and founder of the collective, and Vivian Pinn, retired director, Office of Research on Women’s Health at the National Institutes of Health.
