Stop procrastinating! The National Press Club journalism contest deadline is nearly here

It's last call for entries to the National Press Club’s annual journalism contest.

The deadline is April 1, but since that falls on a Sunday this year, entries postmarked on Monday April 2 will be accepted.

The contest seeks the best in breaking news, political reporting, regional reporting on Washington, international coverage, online reporting, consumer reporting and newsletter journalism. It also includes a group of awards for areas as diverse as the news industry, aerospace and the airline industry, problems facing the elderly and humor writing.

Have your best work recognized by one of journalism’s most prominent organizations with more than a century of tradition. First-place prizes range from free Press Club memberships to cash.
