Snapchat Boot Camp: Wednesday, July 13, Just in time for political conventions

Find out what the big deal is with Snapchat at a training session Wednesday, July 13 presented by the National Press Club Journalism Institute and the Professional Development Committee.

The 90-minute session starting at 9:30 a.m. in the Bloomberg Room will cover the big picture and how Snapchat took off to the point that First Lady Michelle Obama now has an account. It will also cover basic features and best practices, plus time for Q&A.

The program will be presented by a team from Social Driver, a digital marketing agency that helps companies connect with people through websites, social media and video.

Club members can purchase tickets for $5; non-members can obtain tickets for $10.

Emily Rasowsky, Director of Marketing Strategy, Social Driver: Rasowsky is a digital marketing leader and local tech community organizer. At Social Driver, Emily works to engage, entertain, elevate and empower Social Driver's core audiences. Lucy Mink, Marketing Strategist, Social Driver: In her role as marketing strategist, Lucy works with top companies and organizations to help them reach their goals across social media and the web. As a former YouTube sensation, she is no stranger to using social media to reach the right people. You can catch Lucy writing content, developing digital strategies, and crafting new campaigns for SXSW, The Mayor's Office of D.C., D.C. Lottery and Honda, among others.
