Shirley and the Chef event returns to National Press Club Oct. 5 at 6 p.m.

Shirley and the Chef plans to return to the National Press Club to unravel food mysteries and make you laugh on Wednesday, Oct. 5 at 6 p.m. in the NPC's First Amendment Lounge.

Tickets are $10 for NPC members and $15 for nonmembers. The cost includes hors d’oeuvres and tastings. There will also be a cash bar. Click here for tickets.

Acclaimed cookbook author Shirley O. Corriher will join NPC Executive Chef Susan Delbert for an evening of hors d’oeuvres ad cooking demos. They will tackle your toughest questions and explain why your red cabbage turns blue, whether you should sugar or salt your meat, and whether to douse tomatoes with vodka before eating.
